Installations allow artist researchers to stage and articulate their practice and its research trajectory, to negotiate exhibition and presentation formats suitable to art practice/research, and to open these up for debate.
The Installations are a compulsory part of the Art Research Programme in the Department of Art at Goldsmiths. Occurring at key stages where research would benefit from public exposure, expansion and discussion, the Installations open up to different scales of publicity, often involving invitations to external guests. Installations offer a committed chance to solicit debate, feedback, discussion, and explore collaborative expansions to the scope of individual research practice.
